While interacting with the employees through video conference, Yediyurappa said that they have played a vital role in protecting the health of pregnant women, lactating mothers and babies.
The Chief Minister said, “Experts believe that the third wave of the Kovid-19 pandemic will affect children the most. In this backdrop, your role in protecting children is very important.”
He said that the sick and malnourished children should be identified and their health should be given priority.
Yediyurappa said that during the first wave of the pandemic, 20 anganwadi workers and helpers had died and Rs 30 lakh each has been given to the kin of the deceased.
He invited Manjuli Sangamesh of Belagavi to his home in Bangalore for coffee.
