Addressing a press conference here, PDP chief spokesperson Suhail Bukhari said that the delimitation commission has been constituted in such a way that only elected representatives can be involved in this work.
Bukhari was asked about the stand of his party and the Gupkar alliance on the issue. It is noteworthy that the PDP and the National Conference are also part of the coalition. “I cannot say anything from the alliance side. However, as far as PDP is concerned, I want to tell you one thing that the decision to join it is not of the coalition but of the parties involved in it.
He also pointed out that the PDP cannot participate in the proceedings of the Commission as it does not have any member in the Legislative Assembly or Parliament at present.
The PDP has no MP in the Lok Sabha, while its members in the Rajya Sabha have either completed their term or have been expelled.
