Parthiv said in Star Sports’ program Cricket Connected, “If India wants to win this match, then it will have to keep Pujara at number three.” If he stays at the crease for 3-4 hours in this match, then India will be in a very good position. I will name Pujara as the highest run-scorer in this Test match. Parthiv, who has played 25 Tests and 38 ODIs for India, hopes that Virat Kohli’s team will be able to win the final on the back of a strong bowling attack along with a strong batting line-up. He said, “Keeping cricket arguments aside, I will support India to win this Test match.” I think Mohammed Shami’s role in the Indian bowling attack will be crucial. He has done really well in all conditions. Two other former India cricketers Irfan Pathan and Ajit Agarkar and New Zealand’s Scott Styris, however, described the Kiwis as the contenders for victory.
