Assembly elections in seven states, including politically important Uttar Pradesh, are proposed to be held early next year. The BJP is in power in six of these seven states.

Prime minister Narendra Modi has suggested to the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party to conduct a detailed assessment of the party’s performance in the recently concluded assembly elections. It has also been said that party workers should reach out to all sections of the society. Sources gave this information on Sunday. BJP President JP Nadda General Secretaries and various fronts to review the party’s performance in the “Seva Hi Sangathan” program run by the party during the second wave of Corona and the recently concluded assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. A two-day meeting of the Presidents was called which concluded on Sunday.

In this meeting held at Nadda’s residence, all the eight general secretaries of the party, national organization general secretary BL Santosh Apart from this, the presidents of other fronts including Yuva Morcha, Kisan Morcha, Mahila Morcha had participated. After the meeting, Nadda and Santosh along with all the general secretaries reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. The meeting between the Prime Minister and the BJP leaders lasted for more than four hours. Sources said that during this time Modi gave many suggestions to BJP leaders regarding further strengthening the party and increasing the base. Modi suggested that the party should do a detailed analysis of its performance in the recently concluded assembly elections and try to reach out to all sections of the society.

The strength of the party has increased in West Bengal. BJP has increased from three seats to 77 seats and there the party’s base has been strengthened. The party’s base has also increased in Tamil Nadu.
