State government should make arrangements for ‘door-to-door’ vaccination for women: Raje

Jaipur, June 9 (PTI) Expressing concern over the low number of women in the corona rescue vaccination, former Rajasthan Chief Minister and BJP’s National Vice President Vasundhara Raje said on Wednesday that the state government should provide ‘door to door’ (door-to-door) arrangements for them. Vaccination should be arranged.

Raje said in a statement here that the low participation of women in the ongoing vaccination campaign to protect against corona is a matter of great concern. He said that women are more prone to infection than men because they are responsible for the whole house. When someone falls ill in the family, the women of that house also take care of him. Therefore, the state government should make arrangements for ‘door-to-door’ vaccination for women.

The former Chief Minister said that the vaccination ratio of women in Rajasthan is 94 percent compared to that of men. He said that the main reason for this is that working women are busy with household chores. The woman does not get time from the household chores from morning till late night and she considers it more important to serve the family than to get vaccinated. In view of this, the state government should focus on immunization of women and motivate them.

Along with this, Raje has also appealed to the women to take out time from household chores and get vaccinated at any cost to avoid corona.
