Six people died in Jharkhand due to lightning

20-year-old Alok Singh, 21-year-old Abhishek Mahato and 22-year-old Gautam Kumar died due to lightning in Gosi village of Laio Dakshin Panchayat of Mandu block of Ramgarh. The three were playing cricket together and hid under a mango tree when it rained. During this, all three died due to lightning, while two of their companions Abhishek and Suraj Kumar were injured.

Govind Ram Mahato and his wife Ambika Devi had gone to pick mangoes during the rain accompanied by strong winds in Bogula village of Chandankiyari in Bokaro district on Monday, during which both of them fainted due to lightning. The people who reached the spot took both the people to the hospital, where Govind Ram was declared dead by the doctors and Ambika Devi is being treated at the Community Health Center Chandankiyari.
