Black fungus has become an epidemic after Corona. Every day patients are dying due to black fungus in BHU hospital in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The number of patients is also increasing continuously. Amidst all this, there is still a shortage of effective injection Amphoteresin B in the treatment of black fungus in Varanasi.

Dr. KK Gupta, MS, Sir Sunderlal Hospital of BHU said that more than 100 patients of black fungus are admitted in the hospital. According to the patients, the hospital needs 600 vial injections per day. Daily demand is sent daily from the health department’s portal, but injections are not being received according to the demand.

Dr. KK Gupta told that due to lack of injectable amphoterecin, we are giving alternative medicine Posaconazole to the patients of black fungus. Let us inform that till now BHU has received only 425 injection vial from the government.

Three new patients were found, 1 died
On Tuesday, 3 new patients of black fungus have appeared in Varanasi’s BHU Hospital, while 1 patient admitted to the hospital has died during treatment. After the identification of new patients, the total number of patients has increased to 172. Out of these, 122 patients are undergoing treatment at BHU Hospital, while 40 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic so far.
