Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has once again found himself in controversy.
Mumbai, June 6 : Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has once again found himself in controversy. Shakib had earlier informed the ICC Anti-Corruption Squad about the match-fixing scandal, but was suspended for a year. This time Shakib is in trouble for breaking the bio-bubble protocol. The Bangladesh Cricket Board, however, did not provide any details.
According to media reports, the case is dated June 4. When Mohammadan Sporting Club did not have a single match that day, but Shakib appeared at an venue in Mirpur. This time Shakib was practicing with his teammates Asif Haran and Royal Mia. The bowlers who were there while practicing in the net were not part of Mohammadan or the bio-bubble.
While Shakib was practicing, a man wearing a white shirt came in contact with him. He also took photos with Shakib. The bowler is said to be from Shakib Cricket Academy. Following the incident, the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the Dhaka Metropolitan Cricket Committee convened a meeting.
The matter is under investigation and appropriate action will be taken, said Qazi Imam, director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. We are also disappointed with what happened. The safety of the team, the players and the officials is of paramount importance to us. “We have to pay a lot of money and work hard to make a bio-bubble,” said Qazi Imam.
