As per the guidelines of the Government of Maharashtra, the restrictions were imposed due to corona virus infection in the state. Relaxation is being given under a five-tier plan when the cases of Kovid-19 decline. In the first category are those cities and districts where the infection rate is five percent and the number of patients treated on oxygen beds is less than 25 percent.
State minister and Nagpur North MLA Nitin Raut had said on Sunday that some restrictions would still remain in place in this largest district of Vidarbha to avoid the possibility of the epidemic intensifying again.
Snehil Munghate, manager of a leading mall, told PTI, “The number of people who have been commuting since morning is less but we are sure that things will get better in the days to come. We are opening malls after two and a half months and customers are being allowed inside after checking their temperature. All personnel have been asked to use masks, gloves and maintain distance between themselves. ”
Nagpur Residential Hotel Association (NRHA) chief Tejinder Singh Renu told PTI that allowing food till 10 pm and allowing 100 people for weddings is a relief for the region.
Nag Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce President Ashwin Mehadia said the move to lift some restrictions is welcome but it would have been better if shops and establishments were allowed to function till 7 pm.
