Ramban accident: Lt Governor asks officials to conduct road safety audit in a week

Srinagar, Jun 5 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday expressed grief over the death of five people in an accident in Ramban district and directed the concerned departments to conduct road safety audit and rectification measures within a week. Five people, including a CRPF jawan, were killed when a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a 300-feet deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district on Saturday, police said. Sinha also directed to conduct road safety awareness campaigns to prevent accidents on such routes due to human errors.
