PM Modi Uddhav Thackeray meeting: On a separate meeting with PM Modi, Uddhav said, ‘Nawaz did not go to meet Sharif, there is no harm in talking to your Prime Minister’

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with PM Narendra Modi at the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi on Tuesday. After the meeting, Uddhav also had a separate meeting with the PM, for which many political meanings are being extracted. Giving a statement on this, Uddhav said that he was not meeting former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from Pakistan but his PM. There should be no harm in this.

In the meeting held in Delhi with PM Modi, many issues including Maratha reservation to Corona crisis and damage caused by Taute storm were discussed. Although Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and Cabinet Minister Ashok Chavan were also present in the meeting, but after this, Uddhav also met the PM separately for 10, for which many political meanings are being extracted.

‘We are not together but the relationship is not broken’
After the meeting with the PM, Uddhav Thackeray said in a press conference that he kept the problems of Maharashtra and the conversation took place in a very positive atmosphere. On a separate meeting with PM Modi, Uddhav Thackeray said, ‘We may not be together politically but it does not mean that our relationship is broken. I did not go to meet any Nawaz Sharif. So if I meet PM separately then nothing should be wrong in it.

‘Thanks to PM for the change in vaccine policy’
Uddhav Thackeray thanked PM Modi for the change in the vaccine policy. Uddhav said, ‘We needed 12 crore doses to vaccinate 6 crore people in the age group of 18-44. We tried but did not get success as there was not enough and stable supply. The Prime Minister has taken all the responsibility of vaccination on the Centre, so we would like to thank him and hope that the hurdles that were coming will now be removed and everyone will be vaccinated at the earliest.

From Maratha Reservation to Metro Carshed
Uddhav Thackeray said in PC, ‘We made many demands from PM Modi regarding Maharashtra. There has been talk about Maratha reservation. There has been talk about SC/ST promotion reservation. Apart from this, land should be given in Kanjur for metro car shed, it has been demanded. We have also requested the PM to ensure that the GST returns are received on time.

Demand from PM Modi on crop insurance
Uddhav further said, ‘Apart from this, we have also put the issue of farmer in front of the PM. Just like you get a loan for the crop, in the same way you should get insurance for the crop. For this we have mentioned the bead model. PM Modi has assured that he will talk to the officials in this regard.

Demand for change in the provisions of NDRF
Apart from this, the Uddhav government also demanded changes in the provisions of NDRF. Uddhav said, ‘The storm hits the coasts of Mumbai, Konkan. Just 10-15 days ago, a similar storm touched the coastal areas of the state including Mumbai. Even though the storm has just touched down, the damage due to it is immense. We have also talked about this in front of the PM. For such a time, the Center should now change the rules of help. There is a need to fix the provisions of NDRF, the money that comes from NDRF is less available to the states. Demanded to change the provisions of NDRF are old.

Demand to give status of language of the aristocracy to Maratha
Uddhav Thackeray said, ‘Also demanded the status of aristocratic language to Marathi language. Many documents have already been sent regarding this. And the documents required will also be sent. This has been a demand for a long time. There was also a talk with PM Modi about getting the pending fund of the 14th Commission.
