People of Ghaziabad will get injections of black fungus in the district itself, earlier had to go to Meerut

Patients of black fungus will no longer have to run till Meerut for injection. The government decided to make the injections available in the district itself. The district will get 60 injections in the first batch. Patients admitted in private hospitals will be able to take injections by paying a fee in the Red Cross Society.

ACMO Dr. Sunil Tyagi told that there was a shortage of Amphoteresin-B injection in the past. In Meerut too, the injections were over, due to which the patients were facing problems. From the government level, it has now been decided to make injections available in the district as well.

The district will get the first consignment of 60 injections by Friday. On the recommendation of the CMO, the relatives of the patients will be able to take the injection by depositing the fee in the Red Cross Society. There is no arrangement for treatment by recruiting black fungus patients at the government level in the district. The patient coming to the government hospital will be referred to Meerut Medical College.

10 people have died
So far 88 patients of black fungus have been reported. Of these, 10 patients have died. 16 patients are still undergoing treatment in various private hospitals. Black fungus patients are being treated in 6 private hospitals of the district, but many hospitals are not informing the health department about the patients.

Many patients continue to be treated
Dr. Sunil Tyagi informed that till now 4 patients have died in Harsh Poly Clinic, 5 in Max Hospital Vaishali and one black fungus patient in Yashoda. Information about the death of such a patient was received from Harsh and Yashoda Hospital, but Max did not give information. 6 patients are being treated at Harsh Poly Clinic, 4 each in Max and Yashoda, one each in Pulmonic and Gayatri Hospital.
