Noida News: Used to sell stolen mobiles on OLX by making fake bills, three arrested

Sector-24 Kotwali police in Noida, Uttar Pradesh has busted a gang selling stolen mobiles on OLX. Police have arrested three thieves including a minor from Sector 11. Police have recovered fake bills of 11 mobiles, bikes, stolen mobiles from the arrested thieves. Two accused have been sent to jail by the police, while the minor has been sent to the Children’s Correctional Home.

According to the information, the police had received information that stolen mobiles are being sold on OLX. On getting the information, the police investigated. During this, the police have arrested Trilokpuri Rahul of Delhi and Deepak, a resident of Kalyanpuri. Police say that this gang was active in Delhi NCR. He used the bike during the theft of mobile. Most of them used to carry out the incident in crowded areas. They also used to target people traveling in buses.

In crowded areas, people used to steal mobiles from their pockets while getting on and off the buses. They used to steal mobiles as well as purses. Later they used to make fake bills of stolen mobiles. They used to make their ID on OLX and sell it to people by giving fake bills. Used to delete the ID after the sale of the mobile. Each time they used different IDs.
