Nitish sets target to vaccinate six crore people in six months

Patna, Jun 11 (PTI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday set a target of six crore people in the state to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in the next six months, which could accelerate the pace of vaccination in the state.

The Chief Minister issued instructions in this regard in a meeting of the State Health Department here. So far only 1.18 crore people have been vaccinated in a state with a population of about 13 crore.

The Chief Minister said that in the work of vaccinating six crore people in six months, as many government employees as needed should be engaged. He also told the need to run an awareness campaign in this regard.
