Meerut Police’s ‘Operation Clean’ started after Aligarh incident, three prize liquor smugglers injured in encounter

After the ‘liquor incident’ in Aligarh district of UP, ‘Operation Clean’ of the police of Meerut district has started. After unearthing a big gang of liquor smugglers on Saturday, the police arrested three vicious miscreants of the same gang after an encounter on Sunday morning. All the three miscreants were injured in police firing. The chemical used in making spurious liquor in huge quantity has been recovered from the three prized miscreants.

Let us inform that on Saturday, SSP Ajay Sahni had exposed this gang of inter-state liquor smugglers. While arresting seven gangsters, the police also recovered two tankers and weapons including about 60 thousand liters of ENA i.e. chemical used in making liquor and a huge quantity of spurious country liquor from them. SSP Ajay Sahni had told that during the arrest, three miscreants fled taking advantage of the spot. While the names of 10 other persons including a woman involved in this whole racket have also come to light. In search of whom the police are raiding.

Sunday’s Encounter
SSP Ajay Sahni said that before leaving for the day on Sunday morning, acting on the information of the informer, the team of Daurala Police and SOG laid siege to the miscreants in the Centro car on Bafawat Road in Daurala police station area. During this, the miscreants started firing on the police team. After which the three miscreants in the car were injured in the retaliatory firing by the police. The injured miscreants were identified as Ajay alias Jagan, Vijay alias Kampos, residents of Chirodi village in Daurala and Dinesh alias Bablu, residents of Indirapuri.

SSP Ajay Sahni said that about 120 liters of ENA loaded in a Santro car and about 25 thousand liters of chemical being carried in a truck were recovered from the miscreants, including three pistols and a huge amount of cartridges. During interrogation, it was revealed that these three are the same miscreants, who had escaped during an encounter with liquor smugglers on Saturday. The SSP said that the arrested miscreants have a good criminal history. In this, a reward of 25 thousand rupees has been announced on Jagan and Compos, while a reward of 20 thousand has been announced on Bablu. The three injured miscreants have been admitted to the hospital.

A crooked eye on the liquor factories of Punjab
Let us inform that in the investigation of the police, it has been revealed that all the arrested liquor smugglers used to bring ENA from liquor factories of Punjab and drop it at the Dhabas on Meerut Highway. From where this ENA was supplied to liquor smugglers. Due to which fake liquor was being made and supplied to many other districts of UP including Meerut. SSP Ajay Sahni said that the role of the employees of the three liquor factories of Punjab is being investigated in this case. He claimed that none of the accused involved in this business of spurious liquor would be spared.
