Meerut news: Teenager hanged in Meerut, family members accuse neighboring youths of molestation

A 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in village Palhida of Pallavapuram police station area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Based on the complaint of the relatives, the police have registered a case. In the said case, the family members have alleged that the girl has taken this step after being upset by the molestation of the neighboring boys. However, the police have denied these allegations based on preliminary investigation.

Police station Pallavapuram Inspector Devesh Kumar Sharma said that on the basis of preliminary investigation, it has been denied that the teenager committed suicide after being hurt by the molestation of the neighboring youths and the police did not take any action in the matter.

‘Hanged after quarrel with mother’
According to Sharma, according to the information received by the police from the eyewitnesses, the girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself inside the house after a fight with her mother on Tuesday evening. The police have registered a case based on the complaint of the relatives of the deceased. The real cause of the incident is being ascertained.

On the other hand, the girl’s family members have alleged in the police complaint that three-four youths living in the neighborhood used to make obscene remarks on her and chase her every day. He claimed that a written complaint was made to the police station in this matter 25 days ago, but the police did not take any action.
