Meerut News: Interstate gang that stole 100 luxury cars on demand busted, 3 luxury cars seized, 1 arrested

Revealing the interstate gang that steals on-demand cars Meerut Police has arrested a crook. Three luxury cars have been recovered from the possession of the accused. This gang has stolen 100 vehicles from Delhi, Rajasthan and NCR. The stolen vehicle’s chassis and engine number were changed and sold. Search is on for three absconding members including the mastermind of the gang.

SP City Vineet Bhatnagar told in the police line that the police arrested Azharuddin alias Ajju, a resident of Sotiganj, during the checking. Three luxury cars have been recovered from the possession of the accused. SP City said that Ajju and his accomplices used to steal cars from Delhi, Rajasthan and NCR on receipt of demand from Rampal, a resident of Jaipur.

Jaipur residents Rampal and Saddam used to put the number plate of the junk vehicle on the stolen vehicle and take it to Jaipur. There the chassis and engine numbers of these vehicles were changed and sold. The money received from selling the vehicle used to be distributed among all the members of the gang. SP City told that till now this gang has stolen 100 and sold them.

Recently, one of his associates, Mohsin, was caught while selling a stolen vehicle in Meerut’s Brahmapuri police station area, who is currently in jail. Rampal and Saddam, a resident of Jaipur, and Aftab, a resident of Kithor in Meerut, are absconding. Police are raiding in search of them.
