- Shiv Sena targets Congress through mouthpiece
- Saamana wrote that Congress is fighting for existence
- Congress party doesn’t even have a full time president
- Saamana wrote that the autumn season came in Congress
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Maharashtra has been formed with Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress, but often Shiv Sena is seen taunting or admonishing the Congress. Congress has also opposed it but Shiv Sena’s health did not matter. Now once again Shiv Sena has taken a jibe at the Congress.
Shiv Sena has written in its mouthpiece Saamana that the Congress has suffered a crushing defeat in West Bengal. Congress could not establish power in Kerala even after the situation was good. Despite the opportunity in Assam, the Congress lagged behind. Lost power in Puducherry. What should the Congress do and how should it stand in all this autumn? This is not discussed. The Congress party has no full-time president. Barring Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala, the Congress is fighting for its existence.
After former Congress leader Jatin Prasad joined BJP, Saamana has written that even the remaining veterans of the Congress party are now jumping from the boat. Then it is happening only in Uttar Pradesh, it is not so. In Rajasthan, now Sachin Pilot has given a farewell warning to the party leadership. Sachin Pilot and his supporters are already unhappy and have one leg out. Sachin Pilot had rebelled only a year ago. It was somehow pacified, yet the discontent continues to this day.
There has been a big split in the Punjab Congress and Chief Minister K. The opposing faction has waged a cross-border fight against Amarinder. Concerns over that increase when leaders like Prasad leave the party and join the BJP.
rebellion of the loyalists
Saamana has written that Jitin Prasad, a member of ‘G23’, a group of Congress rebels, and his family were Congress loyalists. His father contested the election of Congress President against Sonia Gandhi. Sachin Pilot’s father Rajesh Pilot was also a similar rebel, but he never talked about leaving the party. Another important leader, Jyotiraditya Scindia of Madhya Pradesh also quit the party along with 22 Congress MLAs from Madhya Pradesh and this led to the fall of Kamal Nath’s government. The remainder of the Congress is suffering from this fall.
Congress did a great job
Congress is still the main national and opposition party of the country. Congress has done a great job in the pre-independence era and even after independence. Congress rule has contributed in building the country that stands today. Even today the identity of the country as ‘Nehru-Gandhi’ on the world stage has not been erased. No one has been able to erase the ‘imprint’ of Manmohan Singh, Narasimha Rao, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. But barring Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala, the Congress is fighting for its existence. This is a picture that disturbs the political balance of the country. This is a dangerous situation for democracy.
