Lt Governor appeals to people to work for restoration of ecosystem

Srinagar, Jun 5 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday appealed to the people of the Union Territory to work towards restoring the ecosystem. In his message on World Environment Day, Sinha said that Jammu and Kashmir is known for its rich ecosystem, such as lakes and forests. He said that there is a need to preserve these for present and future generations. He said that along with the government, environmental experts and doctors, “the people also have the power to revive our environment”.

In his message on World Environment Day, Sinha said that Jammu and Kashmir is known for its rich ecosystem, such as lakes and forests. He said that there is a need to preserve these for present and future generations.

He said that along with the government, environmental experts and doctors, “people also have the power to revive our environment.” He said, “On this day, let us restore and rejuvenate our ecosystems.” Pledge to do and keep working to make the earth a better place to live in.

The Lieutenant Governor said that the efforts of the government for environmental protection and restoration through awareness programs and scientific works are yielding positive results.
