Affidavit was filed on behalf of the state government on Thursday during the hearing of the matter of preparedness to deal with the possible third wave of corona virus before the division bench of Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Dr. Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad. It said that the central government is not allowing the purchase of oxygen cylinders.

The High Court has sought a response from the Central Government on this complaint of the State Government through an affidavit. The court has asked why the ban has been imposed on the purchase of oxygen cylinders. The next hearing in this matter will be on June 17.

During the ongoing hearing on the PIL on Corona virus cases, the state government said that it is preparing to deal with a possible third wave of corona virus. He said that there is no shortage of oxygen here but there is a shortage of cylinders. In view of this, the state government wanted to purchase oxygen cylinders from other countries, but the central government issued a guideline on May 28 and banned the purchase of oxygen cylinders.

The state government told the court that it would be easier to deal with the possible third wave of corona virus if the central government gets permission to procure the cylinders. On this, the court has asked the central government why such a policy has been made.

The central government has to file its reply in the court by June 17 and further hearing in the matter is scheduled on the same day.
