In Jharkhand, 80 to 85 percent villages are safe from Corona. Door-to-door survey work was done in more than 44 lakh households under the ongoing Intensive Public Health Survey Campaign (IPHS) in the state. In which medical screening of more than 2.44 crore people was done. During this medical screening program, only 920 corona infected patients were found, including 35 children.
Siddharth Tripathi, IEC officer of the National Health Mission said that “When this survey was started last month, there was a apprehension that a large number of infected would be found in the village. Due to this apprehension, 464 Kovid Coir Centers were kept, but Now it can be said with confidence that the villages and rural people of Jharkhand are almost free from corona infection.
Now a large number of BP and sugar patients in rural areas
According to the information received from the Health Department, 8200 teams of door to door health survey have so far visited 49 lakh 12 thousand 469 houses and conducted health screening of 2 crore 44 lakh 10 thousand 412 people. It has also come to the fore through this survey that a large number of BP and sugar patients are now being found in rural areas as well. So far, 1 lakh 11 thousand 520 diabetic patients and more than 1 lakh 13 thousand high blood pressure patients have been identified.
Black fungus cases increasing in the state
At the same time, the case of black fungus is increasing continuously. With the arrival of three more patients on June 5, the number of black fungus patients has increased to 106, of which 63 are confirmed cases. So far, black fungus has killed 18 people in different hospitals in the state, while 14 infected have been cured.
