Officials said that during this period from 9 am to 7 pm, hotels and restaurants can operate with 50 percent seating capacity. Till now only home delivery of food was allowed, but with the decline in the cases of new COVID-19 infections, the government decided to give some relaxations.
Parks, gardens and libraries have also been allowed to reopen between 6 am and 7 pm, an official release said.
However, the night curfew will continue between 9 pm and 6 am in 36 cities.
Political, social, religious and cultural events can be organized with a maximum attendance of 50 persons during this period in compliance with Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) for safety
During June 11 and June 26, all religious places can remain open with no more than 50 visitors allowed to gather at a time.
The decision to relax restrictions was announced after a meeting of the state’s core committee on the pandemic chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
