Honeywell sets up intensive care room for COVID-19 patients in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jun 11 (PTI) Honeywell on Friday announced that it has set up an intensive care room at Bauring Hospital here to treat COVID-19 patients in the city.

The technology sector company said in a statement that it has also donated 200 oxygen concentrators, N95 respirators and PPE kits to the government for distribution in the state.

It informed that the 10-bed ICU at Bauring Hospital has the necessary equipment to care for critical patients of COVID-19.

Akshay Bellare, President, Honeywell India, said, “Honeywell is committed to helping the country cope with this humanitarian crisis and has provided $3 million for COVID relief since the start of the global pandemic.”

The company said that there are plans to set up one more ICU center of 10 beds initially in Bengaluru in Mumbai as well.
