what is the matter
On June 4, the mayor had called the commissioner to speak in his chamber regarding the payment of BVG company, which collects door to door garbage in the city. During this, the chairman of the cleaning committee and three other councilors were already present there. The commissioner alleges that in the presence of the mayor, the councilors misbehaved with him and there was a scuffle. After this, the employees of the corporation came in support of the commissioner, but the mayor stood in favor of the councilors.

The Autonomous Government Department had taken this step
On the complaint of Commissioner Yagyamitra Singh, the Autonomous Government Department handed over the investigation to an RAS officer on the same day. After this, the investigating officer issued a notice on June 5 asking the suspended mayor Dr. Soumya Gurjar and others to present their answers at 3 pm. But the accused had argued that the notice was not served to them till the stipulated time. After this, a second notice was issued on the second day i.e. on June 6, Sunday, till 2 pm, to reply. But when the accused did not appear to answer, the government suspended the mayor and other accused councilors on the recommendation of the autonomous government.

Former Union Minister and AICC General Secretary Bhavar Jitendra Singh also came in support of Pilot, said – the promises made should be fulfilled.

Presented this argument for not answering
In the case, suspended Mayor Soumya Gurjar said that on the first day Saturday, weekend curfew was declared. He got the notice after the stipulated time. Apart from this, he could not appear before the investigating officer on the second day due to weekend curfew. In such a situation, the government issued an order of suspension without giving him a chance to present his side. They consider it against the law.

Now tomorrow the government will keep its side in the High Court
The eyes of the whole country including the state are fixed on this matter, what is the stand of the court in this matter. Tomorrow, on behalf of the government, Advocate General MS Singhvi will represent the government in the division bench. It is expected that after the court’s decision in this political upheaval, there will be a break soon.
