Gorakhpur: Gorakhnath temple and CM residence will be equipped with advance security, commando units will be deployed

ADG Akhil Kumar of Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh Gorakhnath Temple And while planning afresh for the security of the CM residence, it has been decided to deploy a commando unit there. This unit will be equipped with advanced security technologies. At present, policemen are attached for the security of the temple premises. Now policemen will be deployed along with the commando unit for the security of Gorakhnath temple and the residence of CM Yogi Adityanath.

All these policemen will be equipped with Hand Held Metal Detector, Door Frame Metal Detector, Bomb Disposal Squad. The purpose of deploying commando units in the temple premises is that if there is any untoward incident anywhere in the city, the commandos can reach the spot immediately. At present the commando team is called from Lucknow.

Terrorist incidents have already happened in the city
Serial blasts took place in Gorakhpur city in the year 1993 at Maneka Talkies and in 2007 in Golghar, which is called the heart of Gorakhpur, at three places on the same day. Apart from this, threats have been received many times regarding Gorakhnath temple. After this, the ADG has decided to deploy a special police force for the security of the temple. At present, two company PACs, 135 constables, 140 home guards and about 600 policemen are engaged in the security arrangements of the temple premises.

SSP Dinesh Kumar Prabhu said that on the instructions of the ADG, a proposal has been received to deploy policemen and commando units equipped with advanced technology in the temple and the CM residence located in the temple. Soon it will be implemented.
