Goons terrorized people by waving swords, one arrested, case registered against five

Pune, Jun 9 (PTI) A miscreant has been arrested and five of his accomplices booked for allegedly trying to terrorize people, especially shopkeepers, by waving a sword in Kondhwa, Pune in Maharashtra.

Police said that the incident happened on Monday and Tuesday and during that time they also attacked a bakery owner.

Swaraj Patil, assistant police inspector of Kondhwa police station said, “The accused Arbaaz Khan, his brother Shahbaz Khan and four others raised swords and threatened the local people. He forced the shopkeepers to close their shops. Arbaaz has been arrested and search is on for his brother and four others.

He said that he tried to spread fear to show his dominance in the Ashrafnagar area. According to Patil, on Tuesday again the gang members came to the area and started terrorizing the people.

“They also attacked a bakery owner with a sword, injuring his wrist,” said the assistant inspector. Patil said that a case has been registered against the miscreants under relevant sections of the IPC and the Arms Act.
