A release here said that the chief minister met the MPs to discuss the strategy for the 2022 elections. Recently, the Congress high command had formed a three-member committee to resolve differences in the party’s state unit and held meetings with MLAs in Delhi.
The MPs who reposed faith in the Chief Minister’s leadership include Preneet Kaur, Jasbir Singh Gill, Santokh Singh Choudhary, Dr Amar Singh and Mohammad Sadiq. According to the release, these MPs said that the people of Punjab only wanted to see Amarinder Singh as the Chief Minister.
The MPs said that the Congress would easily take forward the party’s agenda of development of the people of the state by winning the assembly elections.
