Fire breaks out in Vaishno Devi cave complex, cash counter damaged

Jammu, Jun 8 (PTI) A fire broke out in the Vaishno Devi cave complex in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Tuesday, damaging a cash counter. Officials gave this information .

Officials said that no casualty was reported in the fire accident. He told that the fire started from the structure next to the ‘Bhawan’ of the mother.

The fire broke out at around 4.15 pm due to a short circuit and was brought under control by 5 pm, he said.

Visuals from the scene showed thick smoke billowing out of the building as fire tenders were trying to douse the flames.

Officials said some cash and records were destroyed in the fire.
