Dehradun, June 6 (PTI) In Uttarakhand, the government has extended the ongoing Kovid curfew in the state for a week till June 15. The curfew period was ending at 6 am on Tuesday, June 8. This information has been given in a government order.

On Sunday, Chief Secretary Om Prakash said in an order issued in this regard that the Kovid curfew in the state will now be effective till 6 am on June 15.

However, during this period, in the guidelines, the concerned district magistrates in rural areas of the state have been authorized to take decisions at their own level after assessing the status of Kovid-19 infection.

It has been said in the order that during this period, people will be allowed to go for vaccination on showing proof, whereas as before, a maximum of 20 people will be allowed 72 hours before any marriage with the permission of the district administration with negative RTPCR Kovid test report. will be allowed to attend the ceremony. Apart from this, a maximum of 20 people can also attend the funeral procession, it said.

Till further orders, all social, political, cultural functions, entertainment and sports activities will remain closed in the state while educational, coaching institutes, cinema halls, shopping malls, sports stadiums, gyms, etc. will also remain closed during this period.

It will be mandatory for those coming from outside states to register on the Smart City Portal and bring negative RTPCR test report 72 hours in advance, while migrants coming from outside to Uttarakhand will have to stay in separate habitat centers set up in the village for seven days.

According to the order, during this period drug shops and testing labs etc. will be open 24 hours and bank branches from 10 am to 2 pm.

During the Kovid curfew, government cheap shops will open daily from 8 am to 12 noon while ration, grocery, stationery and book shops will open from 8 am to 1 pm on June 9 and June 14.

Apart from this, shops of essential goods like milk, meat, fish, fruits and vegetables will open from 8 am to 12 noon.

Liquor shops will open from 8 am to 1 pm on June 9, June 11 and June 14, but bars will remain closed during this period.

During this the construction activities will continue but the contractor will have to make arrangements for the movement of his workers to the construction site or their stay at the construction site.

During this period, elderly people below the age of ten years and above 65 years, pregnant women and people suffering from any other disease will not be allowed to step out except for health reasons.
