Jaipur. Distinguished neurologist and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ashok Panagariya passed away on Friday. The 71-year-old doctor was suffering from corona virus infection and post-infection complications. Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, BJP State President Satish Poonia, Energy Minister BD Kalla have expressed condolences on the death of Dr. Pangadia.

He was on ventilator in a private hospital for the past few days. After his health deteriorated in the last two days, his family took him home on Friday, where he breathed his last. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted, ‘My deepest condolences on the passing away of nationally renowned, renowned neurologist, Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ashok Panagariya.

Gehlot said that Dr. Panagariya, while holding important positions, rendered remarkable services in the medical field and played an important role in the state as a medical expert even during the time of epidemic. He said, ‘Dr. Pagadia’s death is a big loss to the medical world and the state. The Chief Minister said, ‘I and my family have suffered personal loss, I have had family relations with them, it will not be possible to forget them for a long time.’
