In Dharampur village of Gopikandar police station area of Dumka district of Jharkhand, a ‘Kalyugi’ son named Devi Lal Hembram first sat down with father Mangal Hembram (55 years old) and drank heavily. After this, there was an argument between the two regarding some matter. The matter increased so much that in a fit of rage, the son started beating his father fiercely with kicks and punches. Due to which the father died on the spot.
When there was an uproar over the murder of the father, a large number of villagers gathered and tied the accused to a peg near the dead body of Mangal Hembram and informed the police. The police reached the spot, took the dead body in possession and sent it for post-mortem and arrested Devi Lal, accused of killing the father. It is said that the accused youth has already gone to jail for rape.
Father and son were alone in the house
According to the information, on Monday the wife of the deceased, other two sons and two daughters had gone to work in the field. Father and son were alone in the house. Meanwhile, seeing the opportunity, both of them first sat in the courtyard and drank heavily together. In the meantime, there was an argument between the two about something. The situation reached to a scuffle. In this sequence, a drunken son started beating his father fiercely with kicks and punches. Due to weak body, Mangal Hembram died on the spot.
The accused was sent to jail on the statement of the wife of the deceased
Gopikandar police station in-charge Sanjay Kullu said that due to weak body he could not bear the beating of his son who was intoxicated and that led to his death. On the statement of the deceased’s wife Maino Tudu, the police have registered a murder case against the accused elder son Devilal Hembram and sent him to jail.
