In Betul, MP, the police have arrested eight accused of a gang selling fake and low quality diamonds after the robbery. Two minors are also among the arrested accused. The accused have tried to cheat a businessman of Chhindwara, but if things do not work out, the accused have robbed him. During the police interrogation, it has come to the fore that the accused used to buy low quality diamonds from Nagarpur and sell them to the traders by pretending to be genuine. The value of the diamond recovered with the accused is 55 lakhs, which was ready to be sold for 2.5 crores.
In fact, on May 31, the merchant Prince Soni of Chhindwara had reached Betul to buy jewelry. Prince had come to buy diamonds from the arrested accused. This trader had bought 5 diamonds from the accused for 2.5 lakh rupees. After this purchase, the trader expressed his desire to buy more diamonds from the accused. When the accused arrived with the diamonds, the trader refused to buy them as fake.

The accused had a dispute with the trader
When the trader refused to buy the diamond, there was a dispute with the accused. In this dispute, the accused looted five city diamonds and 2.5 lakh rupees from businessman Prince Soni at gunpoint. The victim had complained about this entire matter to the Betul Ganj police. Police has constituted SIT under the leadership of SDOP Betul Nitesh Patel to investigate the matter.

When the SIT investigated the case, the suspect Karan Jharkhande was arrested. During interrogation it was revealed that Karan along with his accomplices Pintu Nagle, Shubham Gaikwad, Hrithik Chandrahas, Pankaj Karve, Rohit Markam and two other minor children carried out the incident.
Betul MP Simala Prasad said that during interrogation and investigation of the arrested accused, it came to light that all these people used to buy low quality diamonds from Nagpur and sell them as genuine. They used empty capsules to hide these diamonds. Five genuine diamonds and two hundred and fifty fake diamonds, two country-made pistols, two live cartridges and ₹ 15,000 cash have been seized from the accused. The police have arrested the accused in this case on charges of robbery.
