Case registered against policeman for using fake documents to get job

Jammu, Jun 8 (PTI) The Crime Branch of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday registered a criminal case against a policeman for using forged documents relating to date of birth and educational qualifications 23 years ago to get jobs in the armed police.

A spokesman of Crime Branch Jammu said that a preliminary inquiry was conducted following a complaint of cheating against constable Vijay Kumar, resident of Nowshera area of ​​Rajouri district, following which a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law.

He said that Roshan Lal, a resident of Nowshera, had made a written complaint to the Crime Branch alleging that Kumar, a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and serving in the 2nd Battalion of the Reserve Police of India, had submitted fake certificates of school and date of birth to join the police department. Submit the letter It alleged that Kumar’s actual date of birth is May 21, 1973 and as per the school records of Government High School Langar (Nowshera) he has studied till class VI.

The spokesman said that as per the documents submitted by Kumar, his date of birth is February 4, 1978 and he is eighth pass.

He said that the matter is being thoroughly investigated.
