Complainant Rajesh Goyal complained to ACB that on behalf of his firm Shree Jagdamba Industries, Bikaner Sardar Patel Medical College Oxygen was supplied to The total amount paid for oxygen cylinder was Rs 63 lakh 50 thousand, out of which 3 lakh 50 thousand is outstanding. In lieu of its payment, Chief Account Officer of Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner, Kamal Kumar Goel is demanding a bribe of Rs 64 thousand at the rate of one percent of the total amount.
After the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and got the demand of bribe verified over the phone. During the trap proceedings on Tuesday, accused Kamal Kumar Goyal took a bribe of Rs 50 thousand from the complainant Rajesh Goyal and kept it in his paint pocket, which was recovered from the possession of the accused.
ACB’s Jodhpur Range Deputy Inspector General Vishnukant said that 32 lakh 50 thousand cash, about 200 grams of gold ornaments, 650 grams of silver have been recovered from the house of the accused. The accused Chief Accounts Officer Kamal Kumar Goel has admitted that he has invested about Rs 48 lakh in FDR and LIC. Apart from this, the documents of shares and other investments are in the locker.
