In fact, the last census in the country was conducted in the year 2011. Now after 10 years i.e. in 2021, the census is to be held. On the instructions of the central government, preparations were also started in Bihar, but now the census has been put on hold, citing the corona epidemic.
Manjhi said this by tweeting
Jitan Ram Manjhi tweeted about the census. He wrote, “Census of the country is necessary in the present situation, but due to which the census work has been put on hold. Why should the census be avoided when elections can be held in the country? The Government of India is requested to carry out the 10-year census along with Caste based census should be started immediately.”
Census is held after every ten years
There is a Census Act in India, under which census is conducted every ten years. In the census, along with the number of people, all the details related to each person are recorded. The last census was held in 2011. After which the census was to be held in 2021. But in view of the corona infection, it is being postponed. Former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi has raised the question regarding this.

Assembly elections held in five states during the Corona period
The Election Commission, which had concluded the assembly elections in Bihar last year after the first wave of corona virus, conducted assembly elections in five states this year as well in 2021. Assembly elections have been held in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry this year.
