Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee State President Dr. Madan Mohan Jha has written a letter to all the district presidents, MPs, MLAs, front organizations, cells and senior leaders and directed them to protest in front of petrol pumps in their respective districts and blocks on June 11. He himself will hold a dharna at the petrol pump near Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee Sadaqat Ashram in Patna.
Congress says that the increase in the price of crude oil in the global market is being attributed to the huge increase in the price of petroleum products by the central government. On which the Congress issued a statement saying that despite the minimum price per barrel, oil prices are not reduced. Petrol, diesel prices can come down only if petrol, diesel are brought under the ambit of goods and GST. Despite this, the government is engaged in profiteering by collaborating with the oil companies.
The party’s state media department in-charge Rajesh Rathod said that in the last 13 months, petrol has become costlier by Rs 25.72, diesel by Rs 23.93 per liter. In many states, their price has crossed Rs 100 per liter. He alleged, the increase in taxes by the Modi government is not responsible for the record-breaking increase in petrol and diesel prices. Vehicle fuel prices have been increased again on Sunday, due to which the price of petrol has crossed Rs 95 per liter.
At the same time, diesel crossed Rs 86 per liter for the first time. Vehicle fuel prices have increased 20 times since May 4. With this, the price of petroleum fuels has now reached a historic high in various parts of the country. The Congress says that due to the wrong policies of the central government, inflation has become unbridled in the whole country and the prices of all essential commodities including petrol, diesel, cooking gas are increasing wildly. Regarding this, on Friday, June 11, in all the districts of Bihar, party officials, public representatives and workers will demonstrate in front of the petrol pump.
