In Aurangabad, Bihar, a married man fell in love with a girl from his village. After which he started ignoring his wife. When wife Anjali came to know about this, she started opposing the illicit relationship. Due to which husband Amit attacked his wife Anjali with a hanger. Anjali died during treatment.
The incident is from Leelaji village of Dhibra police station area. The deceased 25-year-old Anjali Devi also has two small children. After the incident, the family took him to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital for treatment. Where doctors seeing his condition critical, referred him to Magadha Medical College, Gaya for better treatment. But instead of taking him to the hospital, the parents took him home. Where his health deteriorated two days ago. After this, the family took him to Magadha Medical College, where he died during treatment.

After the death, the parents of Anjali reached her in-laws’ house with the body without conducting the post-mortem. The in-charge station president said that after the assault on May 24, an FIR was registered against her husband in the police station on the statement of the injured Anjali. He was arrested and sent to jail on 25 May. When the police reached the village during patrol, an ambulance was found standing near his house.

The SHO in-charge said that seeing the ambulance, he felt that an ambulance must have been called to take the injured Anjali to the hospital for treatment. But during investigation, it was found that he had died and the family members took the dead body home without post-mortem. After this he took the body in his possession and sent it to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The SHO in-charge said that after the post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family members for last rites.
