Sonal Rajesh Sharma, the authorized representative of the Golden Book of World Records, handed over the certificate to Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhendia in her capital office. Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women Smt. Kiranmayi Nayak was also present on the occasion.
In the presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, on February 27, for the first time in Chhattisgarh, a mass marriage ceremony was organized in 22 districts together. The ceremony was organized under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana. All the districts were connected through video conferencing with the function organized in the capital Raipur. Chief Minister Baghel also attended the function organized at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium Complex in Raipur. He interacted with the newly married couples and blessed them.
Women and Child Development Minister Bhendia said on this occasion that mass girl marriage is a good scheme for marriage at low cost in the time of inflation. Under this scheme, the state government has made a provision of 25 thousand rupees by increasing it by 10 thousand rupees. The incentive amount for marriage for differently-abled couples has also been increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. The state government is making constant efforts to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach as many families as possible.
