Auto drivers, bank employees, medicine and grocery shopkeepers, newspaper vendors worked continuously during the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of corona virus infection, an official said in a statement on Thursday. They came in contact with many people, so the Latur Municipal Corporation (LMC) has declared them as frontline employees.

He told that the Municipal Corporation has now decided to vaccinate him against Kovid-19. These people have been asked to obtain certificates from their associations or offices and get vaccinated at five designated centers in Latur city.

Another official said that after 59 more people were found infected with the corona virus in Latur city, the cases of the epidemic rose to 89,731 on Thursday evening while the death toll rose to 2,323. There are 785 patients under treatment in the city.
