Two days ago, Nigerian President Mohammed Buhari tweeted about the civil war. Twitter had deleted the tweet citing the rules. That’s why the Nigerian government was upset on Twitter.

Following the deletion of the President’s tweet, there were calls from various quarters across the country for a ban on Twitter. So the Nigerian government has now announced an indefinite ban on Twitter. But the Nigerian government has given no official reason for the ban. A spokesman for the Information and Broadcasting Department said it could not provide a technical answer.
