Alok Kumar takes over as Chief Secretary of Tripura

Agartala, Jun 7 (PTI) Senior Indian Administrative Service officer Alok Kumar on Monday took charge as the new Chief Secretary of Tripura. He has been appointed in place of Manoj Kumar who has been transferred as Special Chief Resident Commissioner at Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb extended his best wishes to Alok Kumar after he took charge. The Chief Minister tweeted on Monday, “Shri Alok Kumar ji took over as the Chief Secretary today. He will work diligently to make Tripura an ideal state and fulfill the dream of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. I wish him the best of luck on assuming office.”

Alok Kumar, a 1990 batch IAS officer, was earlier working as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat in New Delhi.
