After mega food park in Muzaffarpur, 5 mini food parks will also be available, textile and leather policy in Bihar soon: Shahnawaz Hussain

Bihar’s Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain says that the interest of entrepreneurs has increased rapidly in Bihar due to the excellent coordination between the central and state government. He said that there has been a tremendous increase in the interest of entrepreneurs in many sectors including ethanol, food processing. Bihar Industries Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that his department is also preparing to bring Textile and Leather policy very soon after Ethanol and Oxygen production policy.

National spokesperson of BJP and Industries Minister of Bihar said that Panjipara of Kishanganj is a stronghold of leather industry. From here the finest leather goes to the country and abroad, work is going on at a fast pace to make the hub of leather processing units near it. Shahnawaz Hussain said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pain in his heart for Bihar and he has opened the treasury for Bihar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are making every effort for the development of industries in Bihar.

After Motipur in Muzaffarpur, Bihar is also set to get 5 mini food parks.
Shahnawaz Hussain said that there is a double engine government in Bihar and it is fully prepared for the industrial development of Bihar. He said that till now many big companies have given proposals to come to Bihar and still offers are coming from many companies. Giving information, the Industries Minister said that after Rs 400 crore mega food park at Motipur in Muzaffarpur, Bihar has now decided to get 5 mini food parks. He said that after his request to Union Agriculture and Food Processing Industries Minister Narendra Singh Tomar ji, it has been decided to get at least 5 mini food parks in Bihar.

Webinar on the prospect of agro-based industry in Bihar
At least 5 industrial units will be opened in each mini food park proposed for different commissionerate of Bihar and local agricultural products will be kept in mind for its selection. The webinar was organized by the Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India on the topic Possibilities of Agro Based Industry (Food Processing) in Bihar. In which Industries Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that 80 percent of the population of Bihar is associated with agricultural production and Bihar is a leading state in agricultural products like fruits-vegetables, maize, sugarcane. Because of this, there is a huge potential for agro-based industries here.

Industries Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that the investment proposals worth 6199 crores have been received by SIPB (State Industrial Promotion Board) in Bihar. Out of them, 74 percent investment proposals worth Rs 4616 crore are related to the food processing sector. If we look at the breakup of the investment proposals of the food processing sector, then Rs 3071 crore or 67 percent of the investment proposals are related to ethanol production. He said that Bihar has immense opportunities in fruit and vegetable processing, maize processing, makhana processing, tea processing and meat processing.

In the webinar, it was told from Bihar that the land in Bihar is cheaper as compared to other states of the country. Bihar is the number 1 producer state of maize, power supply, infrastructure, rail, road and air connectivity are also favorable for the establishment of new industries here.
