8 crore loan sanctioned for payment of outstanding salary of RTDC personnel

Jaipur, June 10 (PTI) The Rajasthan government has sanctioned an interest-free loan of Rs 8 crore for the payment of outstanding salaries and other items to the employees of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC).

An official spokesman said that with this, the RTDC personnel would be able to pay the arrears of salary etc. for the period from January to May 2021 very soon. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to give interest free loan of Rs 8 crore to the corporation for payment of salary etc.

According to the proposal of the Finance Department, due to non-operation of tourism activities of RTDC due to Corona epidemic and restrictions on movement, other payments including salaries of corporation employees are pending for several months.

According to the spokesperson, in view of the adverse economic conditions of the employees of the company, the Chief Minister has decided to give this loan amount to the corporation for payment of salary and other arrears.
