546 new cases of Kovid-19 found in Uttarakhand, 23 infected died

Dehradun, Jun 8 (PTI) Uttarakhand on Tuesday received 546 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 infected succumbed to the pandemic, while two patients suffering from black fungus also died in the state.

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department here, the number of corona virus infected in the state has so far reached 3,34,965, including fresh cases. In the fresh cases, maximum 136 patients were found in Dehradun district while 88 in Pithoragarh, 69 in Haridwar, 56 in Nainital and 41 in Udham Singh Nagar.

So far, a total of 6,797 people have lost their lives due to the epidemic in the state.

The number of cases under treatment in the state is 11,885 while 3,10,291 patients have recovered so far.

Meanwhile, 28 more cases of black fungus or mucormycosis were reported in the state while two patients died of the disease. So far 332 patients suffering from this disease have been found in the state, out of which 50 have died.
