“DGP VS Yadav held a detailed review meeting with district superintendents of police on June 5,” Chakraborty said.

“During discussions with the superintendents of police, it came to the fore that 17 cases were registered in the year 2020 in relation to attacks on journalists and so far in the year 2021, seven cases were registered,” he said. Chakraborty said that out of the 24 cases registered, chargesheets have been filed in 16 cases, settlement has been reached in three cases while investigation is still going on in the remaining five cases.
