1027 Aadhar cards found on roadside in Noida, police started investigation

Noida, Jun 8 (PTI) A huge quantity of Aadhar cards have been found in a roadside sack near Sector-59 of Noida in Uttar Pradesh. After this, the police has started investigating the matter. The special thing is that out of 1027 Aadhar cards found on the roadside, 867 are from Haryana.

Police said that the CCTV footage around the place where these Aadhar cards were found is being scanned.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Verma said that all the Aadhar cards recovered are ‘genuine’ and the addresses of those who have Aadhar cards are being verified.

He told that the police is investigating the matter keeping in mind many aspects and it seems that these Aadhar cards may have been used in some company or office, that company may have been closed and after that during the office is vacant. These Aadhar cards must have been thrown in the garbage.

Verma told that the Noida Police has sent a letter to the Haryana Police and the administration of those districts where there are Aadhar cards. He said that the rest of the Aadhar cards belong to the residents of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and verification is being done in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh also.
